Written Laws (Miscellaneous Amendments) No 1 Bill 2020 has been presented to the Tanzanian Parliament in January 2020 and proposes the following changes to the Grazing Land and Animal Feed Resources Act Cap 180:

  1. The grazing land delineated by the villages through land use planning shall be protected with clear marks on boundaries, registered and published in the Gazette.
  2. A person shall not move an animal into Mainland Tanzania for the purposes of grazing or accessing water.
  3. Only an “authorised person” shall graze animal in demarcated grazing land.
